here is a short video of my female P laticauda enjoying one of the many different fruit mixes that i offer them freshly everyday. i’ve been experimenting with different fruits because i think it’s ridiculous that people use baby food. baby food is expensive so that’s why i oppose using it. this is her enjoying the mashed kiwi i prepared for her. my most successful fruits that these guys adored were the mango mash i made and the banana mash. other possible fruits are peaches and apricots or any other sweet non citrus fruits. my recipe for the fruit mashes is adding a pinch of sugar to the fruit mash and adding a quarter teaspoon reptile calcium and/or vitamins. a recommended extra would be to add 2 or 3 drops of lemon juice as a natural preservative. mix properly when done. you can put the mash in bottle caps and place them in branches or plants in the terrarium. my female readily eats fruits from my finger tips. any questions or tips on keeping day geckos in general just message me. any suggestion on vids also let me know please. thanks for watching!
